Mormons know who they are. Whether you attend meetings or where, and that some of you do not call

yourselves 'Mormon',  you still are.  And how can this be? It is because Mormons are a people!

Mormon Funerals and your "Perfect Plan"

We are the members of the Mormon Widows and Orphans Society

and we want you to have a “Perfect Plan”

A word about your "Perfect Plan".   Click Here for:  Funeral Services for President Gordon B. Hinckley

Do not put this off! How many times have you heard this bible verse:

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."  Matthew 5:48

Spencer W. Kimball wrote: Being perfect means to triumph over sin. This is a mandate from the Lord. He is just and wise and kind. He would never require anything from his children which was not for their benefit and which was not attainable. Perfection therefore is an achievable goal. (Life and Teachings of Jesus and His Apostles, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints)

Mormons live their lives striving for this perfection. Mormons live their culture.

Work worth doing is often perfected by an effort to do the best one can. When you think about your “Perfect Plan” do you ask yourself if it will be the best you can plan? There is nothing perfect about someone else's plan for your Mormon funeral.

Begin a “Perfect Plan” now. Get it ready and keep it somewhere to be easily found when the time comes. Review it every year at the same time you prepare your taxes so it is always be up-to-date.

Your funeral will be a meeting. Personalize it yourself so your loved ones will be comforted and remain connected to your message of Mormon faith at this meeting. They will feel you are a part of this because you planned it all.

Do you know where you will be buried? Have you taken the effort to make sure of the authority with which the site is to be prepared for your interment?

A “Perfect Plan” is only perfect when you take care of the details yourself. The Mormon funeral and burial site preparation can all be arranged in advance if you make the effort. Do not leave this to others, it is too important and no one knows your Mormon life's message of the truth as well as you do.

Members of this Society can help you. It will cost you nothing but time to exchange information and listen to advice. No one will ask you for money or suggest where you should worship. You can ask questions and get answers or directions to resources where to get the right answers.

You know where to pray. There are wonderful wise people in your church. Have you been there lately?
