Mormons know who they are. Whether you attend meetings or where, and that some of  you do not call

yourselves 'Mormon',  you still are.  And how can this be? It is because Mormons are a people!

You have a right to Access Financial Information

As a member of the Society you have the right to:                                    http://ourbenefitcenter.com/mwos/

1. Know exactly how the funds of the MWOS organization are being spent, where policy is not just a web policy for the sake of appearances, but an actual practice.

2. Know the salary and total compensation packages of key staff, executives, and Council members.

3. Know what the MWOS programs you support are accomplishing or not accomplishing. Check and see if any other organization you are considering gifting to has financial transparency.

4. Know that the Society and its employees comply with all federal and state laws, including tax regulations including regulations against inurement or personal benefit from gifts.

5. Be able to specifically designate and permanently restrict your MWOS gifts to fund a specific purpose or cause within the organization's mission objectives, such as helping widows and orphans, the sick, or the assistance of the needy or hungry, information dissemination about Mormon Funerals and Baptism for the dead in Mormon temples.

6. A timely and courteous response to your inquiries about finances and programs, not incomplete or misleading Orwellian doublespeak about quarterly income and budget percentages as substitutes for periodic, complete financial reports.

7. Give without being pressured by the organization, or computer checked for loyalty or "member in good standing" roadblocks to accountability.

8. Obtain a full copy of the society's most recent audited financial statements and benevolent fund statements - not a sanitized version with meaningless categories lumped together. Special assessments aggregated by the Society and distributed for that specific purpose should be placed in distinct, separate categories on the financial reports.

9. Know that there is a responsible, qualified, governing council of members providing insight to the Society's mission, accepting responsibility for Council actions with supervision of elders.

10. Know that all assessments and subscriptions are truthful and accurate. Audited financial statements by a Third Party Administrator (TPA) are a step towards a "clean bill of health" through: CPA guarantees of fiduciary integrity and CPA-audited financial statements will not hide assets, real estate, bank accounts, payouts, or loans; provide adequate retirement funding history for employees; and, cannot materially misrepresent MWOS's financial condition.

You have a right to timely, accurate, and compete sets of financial statements from the Council, and to know exactly how your money is being spent by your Society.
